Syndicated humor columnist Dorothy Rosby has published her third book, Alexa’s a Spy and Other Things to Be Ticked off About, Humorous Essays on the Hassles of Our Time.
Dorothy calls the book “part comical call to arms and part tongue-in-cheek tirade.” Essay topics range from spammers and scammers to clutter, litter and uncivil discourse.
Her work has appeared for 24 years in publications across the West and Midwest. She’s the author of two other books of humorous essays, I Used to Think I Was Not that Bad and Then I Got to Know Me Better and I Didn’t Know You Could Make Birthday Cake From Scratch, Parenting Blunders from Cradle to Empty Nest. She’s currently working on her fourth book and she says she’s hoping to give it a shorter title — something like Wow or Best Seller. In 2019, her essays were brought to the stage in two sold-out performances by a local theater troupe in her community.
